Western Bacon-Nut Salad

4 slices bacon, crumbled
1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, filberts or walnuts)
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
2 tablespoons chili sauce
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. salt
dash pepper
1 medium head lettuce
2 medium tomatoes
1 1/4 cups celery, diced
1/4 to 1/2 cup sliced onion rings

Cook bacon until crisp. Sauté nut meats. Drain both on paper towels. Meanwhile, combine sour cream, chili sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Arrange greens, tomatoes, celery and onion rings in salad bowl. Add bacon bits and nut meats. Toss lightly to blend. pour sour cream dressing over all and toss gently. Additional crisp bacon and sautéed nuts may be passed with salad as accompaniments. Serves 6.
