cup butter or margarine
3 1-once squares unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 oz. milk chocolate
1 cup marshmallow topping
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
Heat
oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9-inch square baking pan.
In small heavy saucepan over very low heat, stir butter
and unsweetened chocolate until melted and smooth. Remove
from heat; cool. Meanwhile, in small bowl combine flour,
baking soda and salt; set aside. In medium-size bowl with
electric mixer at medium speed, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla
about 3 minutes until lemon-colored and slightly thickened.
Beat in cooled chocolate mixture until thoroughly blended;
stir in flour mixture to blend well. Spoon batter into
prepared pan; bake 25 to 30 minutes until wooden pick
inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire
rack 10 minutes. meanwhile, heat broiler. In small heavy
saucepan over very low heat, stir milk chocolate until
melted and smooth; remover from heat. Spread marshmallow
topping gently and evenly over top of brownies; drizzle
with melted chocolate. Run thin spatula or knife through
topping to create marbled effect. Sprinkle marshmallows
over brownies; place under broiler. Heat about 30 seconds
until marshmallows just begin to brown. Cool completely.
When ready to cut, freeze cooled brownies in pan 10 minutes;
using sharp serrated knife, cut into 15 squares. Makes
16 servings
